FOX CITIES WALK-4-AUTISM Neenah Walk Raised $36,000! Thank you to all who participated, donated and volunteered!
Neenah's Riverside Park, featuring the Rocket Playground, again hosted the the Fox Cities Walk-4-Autism. The third annual walk took place on Saturday, April 26, 2008 and served as the culminating event of Autism Awareness Month. Over 1,300 walkers came out to support a great cause!
Thanks to our major sponsors School Specialty and Money Mailer and to our media sponsors WIXX and WLUK (Fox 11) for making the Walk-4-Autism so successful and to Wisconsin Early Autism Project for sponsoring the children's area. Special thanks to Tanner's Sports Grill & Bar in Kimberly and to Wendy's for sponsoring the delicious food.
We're already planning for another great walk next year. If you would like a sponsorship form, please contact: friendsofautism@wi.rr.com
How long is the route?
The Walk-4-Autism is a 5k walk, but we have a 2.5K shortcut available. You can decide en route how far you would like to walk.
Route: Riverside Park Way to Kimberly Point, pass the lighthouse, curve south on Lakeshore Drive to Wisconsin Avenue to S.Park Drive. S.Park Drive to Meadowbrook Lane
East to Lynrose Lane south to Amber Lane east North on Bayview to S.Park back to the park.
How do I form a team?
Forming a team is very simple. As a team captain, you will choose a team name and list yourself as the team captain when you register. Then, have 12 of your family, friends, and co-workers register on the website under your team name (they can register and pay separately). You must have 12 people registered under your team name by team registration deadline (we will post the deadline after the 2009 walk date is announced). All teams with 12 or more walkers will have their team name printed on their shirts at no charge.
Walk Location: Riverside Park 600 E Wisconsin Ave Neenah, WI 54956
